|Yufei Chen - Currently working at geochemistry division of AGAT laboratories as Laboratory Coordinator.
The scholarship was given jointly by the Certified Assayers Foundation of BC and the Canadian Mineral Analysts.
Yufei Chen graduated from Chemistry program of Ryerson University in 2009 and first joined AGAT lab in 2010 as a sample weigher the joined the digestion group gaineding hands-on experience with sample assaying using aqua Regia digestion, four acid digestion, Borate fusion, peroxide fusion and fire assay in different concentration grade as requested. Later joined the instrumental analytical group operating a variety of analytical instruments such as ICP-OES, ICP-MS, AAS, LECO Carbon and Sulfur and Nitrogen analysis and XRF whole rock analysis. Most recently promoted to Lab coordinator position. Currently enrolled in a distance education program for certified assayer training at British Columbia Institute of Technology and committed to complete it and then take the B.C certified assayer examination.
